Under the Maternal and Child Survival Program, a study led by Jhpiego identified significant opportunities to improve gestational age estimation and use of antenatal care health information for pregnant women, thereby improving the quality of care.
We support Cambodia in integrating mental health within primary health systems, developing curricula for frontline health providers and community leaders, strengthening referral pathways, and building capacity across national and sub-national levels. This is particularly valuable for trauma-informed maternal care in alignment with Cambodia’s health priorities.
Jhpiego convenes mental health nonprofit implementers in Cambodia to work together with the Ministry of Health and is strengthening the quality of the existing health care mechanisms.
