AMPLI-PPHI Webinar Series

June 11-30, 2026 | Webinar Series

From PPH Product Introduction to Scale-up

This four‑part webinar series features practical, actionable lessons from the Accelerating Measurable Progress and Leveraging Investments for PPH Impact (AMPLI‑PPHI) project.

This series brings together four years of learning on what it takes—and what works—to accelerate access to high quality postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) products and care.

Across the series, we will focus on the practical approaches that countries can use to move from product introduction to readiness for scale and ensuring sustained access to affordable PPH products for prevention, detection, and treatment. AMPLI PPHI worked closely with Ministries of Health and key stakeholders (from community to national level) in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, India, Kenya, Nigeria, and Zambia, as well as global institutions.

WEBINAR DETAILS

Register and join a candid, practice‑focused dialogue on how countries can translate evidence into action and ensure that no woman suffers the consequences of PPH.

June 11: AMPLI-PPHI: Catalyzing learning and shaping the global trajectory of PPH

  • This webinar will launch six IJGO papers in a special supplement from the AMPLI-PPHI project, spotlighting scalable solutions to prevent and treat postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), the leading cause of maternal death.
  • Experts will share practical lessons on adopting heat stable carbetocin, advance distribution of misoprostol, and the E-MOTIVE bundle (including calibrated drapes and tranexamic acid) across six countries in Africa and Asia. Discussions will focus on introducing commodities, applying WHO-FIGO-ICM guidelines in varied health systems, and the role of professional societies in sustaining change.
  • Join us Thursday, June 11, 09:00 – 10:00 UTC-4 and participate in a dynamic Q&A to gain actionable strategies for scaling PPH interventions in low resource settings.

June 23: Transforming Global Guidance into Real Care: Essential lessons from frontline providers for implementing PPH guidelines – for prevention, detection, and treatment – with quality and confidence

  • How can global guidelines lead to consistent, high-quality, life-saving care for every woman? The second webinar in AMPLI-PPHI’s four-part learning series explores how the WHO 2025 consolidated guidelines on postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) prevention, detection, and treatment are applied in routine facility practice across diverse settings.
  • Grounded in WHO guidance and real-world experience from the AMPLI-PPHI project in six countries, the session goes beyond protocols and products to reveal what it takes to achieve sustained, high-quality PPH care. Using facility data and insights from providers and communities, speakers will explain practical aspects, including the ‘how to' of implementation, introducing new products, enabling provider behavior change, engaging all cadres and leadership, and creating an environment of continuous learning.
  • Join us Tuesday, June 23, 07:00 – 08:30 UTC-4 to learn actionable steps for translating global guidelines into reliable and effective care for women in labour and those experiencing PPH – ultimately reducing the burden and impact of PPH.

June 25: A Health Systems Approach to Introducing PPH Innovations: Experiences, Lessons, and Recommendations

  • The third webinar in AMPLI‑PPHI’s four-part learning series examines how health system foundations – policy and regulatory frameworks, financing mechanisms, data systems, governance structures, professional associations, and sustainability pathways – enable lasting scale-up of proven PPH innovations.
  • Drawing on diverse country experiences, experts will unpack what worked, what failed, and practical strategies to institutionalize products and practices beyond pilots. Participants will gain actionable insights on policy adoption, integration into clinical practice, financing entry points, stewardship and accountability, and overcoming political or regulatory bottlenecks.
  • Join the movement on Thursday, June 25, 07:00 – 08:30 UTC-4 to translate evidence into durable, equitable PPH care at national scale.

June 30: Catalyzing systemic changes to improve the availability and affordability of PPH products

  • The last webinar in AMPLI-PPHI’s learning series will summarize the project’s work to improve availability and affordability of PPH products in low‑ and middle-income countries. It will explore the distinct access challenges facing heat‑stable carbetocin (HSC), tranexamic acid (TXA), and calibrated drapes, and outline the market and health-system solutions implemented to address them.
  • The session on Tuesday, June 30 07:00 – 08:30 UTC-4 will highlight government actions in Kenya and the DRC to enhance access to quality‑assured medicines and project contributions to broader efforts to strengthen the PPH product market.
